Beautiful nails, even in winter!

When winter comes, our body reacts. Our skin is drying, our hair is more rough and our nails do not escape! The cold weakens them: they often become very dry and sometimes soft. How to remedy the situation? "We must first identify our problem, . Many confuse brittle nails and split nails. The first are not flexible and tend to flake, while the second are soft and bend to nothing. "The pro proposes to strengthen and protect our nails according to two care routines, one for each problem. To be done first for 10 days, then repeat at season changes or as needed.

For dry and brittle nails
The problem occurs when the nails are dehydrated, because of the cold weather, the age or the abuse of nail polish containing drying ingredients, such as formaldehyde.

Fortify They are nourished by applying a fortifying and moisturizing treatment at least twice a day for 10 days. We make sure to penetrate, massaging the base of the nail and the free edge. For better effectiveness, it is applied to a nail without varnish the first five days.

Protect On the fifth day of the treatment, you start a protective treatment with a basic varnish. One or two coats are applied and refreshed after about a week.

For soft and split nails
This phenomenon is caused by overexposure to water, which attacks the keratin of the nail. In other words, we stop washing dishes without gloves!

Fortify We choose a hardening care with restorative ingredients, which will harden our nails and restore their fragile metabolism. It is applied twice a day or more, for a minimum of 10 days. Ideally on a nail without varnish, at least the first five days.

Protect On the fifth day of the cure, apply a bright hardener, which will act as a shield against external aggressions such as water, but also against thermal shocks, common in winter. We keep it for five to seven days, and apply again.

Beware of acetone!
Present in several nail polish removers, acetone dries and weakens the nail. Better to opt for products that do not contain them. They are softer and just as effective!
