6 reasons why women should do weight training

Bodybuilding is much more than building muscle, it helps to carve a great physique, for men, but also for women.
There is no doubt, women should do muscu!
It goes beyond being in a mirror, bodybuilding will reveal your curves.
Raising weights can transform you inside and out.
Introduction of our sports coach Mélanie Ragonot:
I spend a lot of time coaching women on how to change their bodies, but I do not just focus on their physique.
I also teach them "how to improve the interior to change their way of life".
Bodybuilding has transformed my body and my life for better!
I want to make you feel the same and change too!

Here is a quick overview of the main reasons why you women should be doing weight training.

Reason 1: to increase your self-confidence

The number one reason is for the boost of confidence in yourself that comes with bodybuilding.
I have more confidence in me today around 20 years old.

When I started to train and went to the room, I was frozen. If I was not with my boyfriend or a friend, I did not know where to start and what to do as an exercise, etc.
Although I knew how to use this or that machine, I cared more about the eyes of others who watched me working out of the corner of my eye or finding the machine settings, which load to use, and so on.
I was full of doubts and this lack of confidence in me did not allow me to do a training of muscu optimally.
It takes time and takes time, but if you keep going to the gym and bodybuilding, you will build that confidence in yourself.
Today it's been years since I practice bodybuilding, I'm a sports coach and I have the feeling of owning the room, I'm at home when I go there.
I like this feeling!
The more you go to your room, the more confidence you will gain.
In time, you will go to the room, use the equipment you need and explode your series and rehearsals.
And you know why people will look at you? Maybe they will need some advice or they will wonder how you do it.
There is nothing more enjoyable than doing your sport with this type of self-confidence.
Outside the room, when I wear a tank top and leggings, I watch the eyes of women and men and sometimes I am asked if I am sporty. It's nice and rewarding to answer that I'm doing bodybuilding, as simply.
It's also very rewarding when wearing a dress or jeans to observe curves on your body.
I feel good as I am!

Reason 2: to eat more carbohydrates

Who does not like to eat?
When you do bodybuilding, you have to eat carbohydrates. If you do muscu with a certain intensity, you must eat. If you do not eat properly, you will not be able to do effective sessions.
Yet many women are afraid to eat carbohydrates and wonder if eating them will make them gain weight.
I have good news for you: NO if you work with intensity and are diligent in the room. You need these carbs to change your physique.
So if you consume carbohydrates all day long from your "leg day" (lower body day, legs ..) your body will use every gram to grow your muscles and maintain them.
It's a pretty good reason to eat carbohydrates as you do muscu.

Reason 3: to carve curves

Strength training with weights or loads will get you muscle, sharpen your body and change the way you feel in your clothes. Doing only cardio will never bring you all that, you have to integrate it.
Many women spend hours in the gym on the treadmill, the bike, or the elliptical trainer and remain disappointed at not achieving their goals and / or not seeing their bodies evolve.
That's clear, it's important to do cardio.
I do cardio myself, but lifting / pushing weights offered curves that I did not even suspect.
My buttocks have firmed up and grown. I have beautiful legs and I have no shame in showing them.
I like wearing leggings, shorts and jeans that show off my hamstring ischios and my quads.
I fully assume!

Reason 4: Bodybuilding to burn more calories

Certainly the best part of the muscu, burn calories even after the sessions ...
When you only do cardio, you burn fat, but do not really build muscle.
When your cardio session is over, the fat burning stops.
While when you're doing weight training with intensity, I like to say "with intensity", you burn fats AND calories too.
Your metabolism increases and burns calories throughout the day - even after your sessions and while you are recovering at home.
I do not know about you, but I like to know that I burn calories while I sleep!
The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. It's that simple !

And do not worry, you will not have big muscles and you will never reach the physique of a man, since it is THE fear number 1 women who come to consult me. 😉

Reason 5: Bodybuilding to strengthen your bones

Even if you are not concerned at the moment, women are at greater risk than men for osteoporosis, which means a higher risk of future fracture.
A good way to minimize this risk is to do weight training with intensity.
I do not say that it is enough for a few repetitions here and there on machines and a little circuit training; I speak of intensity!
Go to the room - make machines, use the pulleys, use the dumbbells or sit in the squat cage - choose what you prefer.
But use weights, no matter what exercise you do, do it thoroughly!
You will build muscle mass, increase your bone density and increase your strength, which will greatly help you in your everyday life.

Reason 6: Doing things alone

Muscu makes you independent.
Whether you want to carry your shopping bags, carry your luggage, put an object high above your head or rearrange your furniture, the muscu allows you to do things alone without having to ask someone.
It is sometimes fun when you are in the room and a guy asks you if you need help or advice and answer "No, I can do it! 🙂 ".
